For The Hottest Oven. The Freshest Toronto Bakery
The best Toronto Bakery should serve up the freshest bread, cakes, and other sweet treats, as well delicious drinks that will hit the spot. As the most diverse and populated city in Canada, it’s no surprise that the city boasts some of the best spots for java and baked goods. Anyone who knows me, knows I have the worst possible sweet tooth in all of Toronto. This means my loyalty to a particular bakery is somewhat jaded.
As long as you sell cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and bread I’m pretty much yours. All that being said there is one place in all of Toronto that amongst other delicious products does one thing that I have not yet seen anywhere else in Toronto and that’s Homemade Pop Tarts. I first heard about this baked goodness from a politician I was interviewing for another project and was so intrigued I traveled to the bakery OMG Baked Goods to see how it was done.
Sweet & Savory…like me 😉
OMG Baked Goodness is a sweet and savory bakeshop here in Toronto, Ontario. Not only are they a retail shop they are a wholesale provider of baked goods to the city’s best cafes and restaurants. Aside from the Homemade Pop Tarts, they are well known for there Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes, Herb and Garlic Focaccia (rated #1 by Toronto Life), and offer a whole range of specialty products for both vegan and gluten-free diets in addition to our menu for more traditional tastes.
As the sweet smell of bread fills the air, I got the know the owner Leslie Mattina. I have never met a person who is so filled with passion when discussing food or the process of making her products.
More Toronto Bakeries…
Aside from OMG Baked Goodness here are some other wonderful Bakeries in the Toronto area:

Whether you want to dine in and grab a bite to eat or take some of their delicious treats to go, you can bet on this quality café that has been serving the city for nearly 30 years.

Maman is a French café featuring recipes from the South of France. They also have another location in SoHo, NYC, but Canadians can visit this location in Toronto’s Financial District for brunch, coffee, and baked goods.
